Students Frustrated After UiTM's Email System Was Used To Spread Inappropriate Messages
A male student sent an email containing a disturbing threat of sexual assault against other students.

Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) is under the spotlight after some of its students allegedly misused the university's official email system to send inappropriate messages and threats
According to the New Straits Times, a user on X made a post claiming that several students have been purportedly sending spam messages to the university's email system, which was originally designated for surveys.
The user also included several screenshots in the post, revealing students sending messages containing vulgar words that are visible to lecturers, faculty admins, students and university staff members.
"Surveys are sent using this UiTM email. When it is linked to an organisation email, it can be observed by lecturers, faculty admins, students, and staff (members).
"Surveys are not limited to batchmates or groupmates. They are used to collect data from students, lecturers, and the public," wrote the user.
Disturbingly, in one of the messages, a male student issued a threat to commit sexual assault against other students who were sending spam messages.
"Before I rape every one of you, please stay quiet," wrote the student.
The post has garnered over 1.3 million views, with students expressing their frustration and concern about the misuse of the university's official email system in the comments section
"Those who are replying to these emails, is it really necessary to use vulgar words knowing that your message will be read by so many people? Which university is this and why are its students so terrible?" asked an X user.
"This is why people are so tired of UiTM students," wrote another.
"I'm so angry by the words they used. It's as if they were never educated in school. There was even one student who threatened to rape others. As an alumna, I'm so embarrassed by their behaviour," replied a netizen to the thread.
At the time of writing, UiTM has yet to release an official statement regarding the issue.
